Research Agenda Workshop

C-CoAST invites you to register for the C-CoAST RCN Research Agenda Workshop, to be held in partnership with North Carolina Sea Grant. The workshop will focus on the C-CoAST Theme: Connections between short-term decisions and long-term effects, and potential levers (e.g., actions of communities, governments, and other civil society groups) that would enhance the long-term resilience of coastal communities and ecosystems.

Workshop Goals

  1. Foster relationships and efforts that serve communities, that might otherwise not have come about.
  2. Co-create a research agenda that falls within the intersection of stakeholder and researcher needs and interests, and produces outcomes that communities need and care about.
  3. Pilot a process for co-creating a collaborative science research agenda and share lessons learned with the broader stakeholder/researcher community for further development and refinement.

Registration deadline extended to November 8, after which time we will accept wait list requests. Although the hotel block was released October 24th, if rooms are still available, the Double Tree by Hilton in Atlantic Beach (5-7 min from the aquarium) will still offer discounted rooms at the rate of $78/night for 11/16 & 11/17.  To receive this rate (required for reimbursement, unless special arrangements have been made), call Elizabeth Barrow in the Double Tree group sales office (252-222-4013) and let her know you will be attending the C-CoAST Workshop.

All participants must book and pay upfront for their own room. Those who have requested travel support will be reimbursed after their trip for the state rate of $78/night for 11/16 and/or night of 11/17 at the Double Tree.
