C-CoAST RCN Research Agenda Workshop

Held in partnership with North Carolina Sea Grant
November 17 – 18, 2022 at the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores

The workshop focused on the C-CoAST Theme: Connections between short-term decisions and long-term effects, and potential levers (e.g., actions of communities, governments, and other civil society groups) that would enhance the long-term resilience of coastal communities and ecosystems.

Workshop Goals

Foster relationships and efforts that serve communities, that might otherwise not have come about.
Co-create a research agenda that falls within the intersection of stakeholder and researcher needs and interests, and produces outcomes that communities need and care about.
Pilot a process for co-creating a collaborative science research agenda and share lessons learned with the broader stakeholder/researcher community for further development and refinement.
